DRÔLES DE DAMES: Thomas de Pourquery, Laurent Bardainne, Fabrice Martinez Good Morning
Digital Single
Saxophonist-singer Thomas de Pourquery is a prominent daredevil of French jazz. As the leader of the trio Drôles de Dames, he goes on cosmic journeys with Fabrice Martinez (trumpet, French horn) and Laurent Bardainne (analogue synthesizer, saxophone) – without a seat belt or a specific destination. The three musicians have already conquered France with the band Supersonic, then traveled around the world, and their first trio album, which accumulates pop and jazz references and contemporary musical experiments, was also a resounding success in 2021, published by BMC Records. Their new single is a live concert recording on which gradually intensifying psychedelia is combined with electronic influences, soulful vocals and jazzy trumpet playing. It is like greeting the morning in an alternative universe.
